Jeff Day has run Power Carpet Cleaning since 1995. Thirty-one years in the same three counties means most of what we know about South Florida floors was learned the expensive way, on buildings that are still our customers.
The company is IICRC Certified and has been for as long as the certification has existed in its current form. Every crew is licensed, bonded and insured, and every job is run to the same written procedures — the ones published in our maintenance guide, which we hand out free because a facility manager who understands the schedule is a better customer than one who does not.

That is an unusual thing for a cleaning contractor to be asked to do. Inspecting a claim means telling a mill whether its product failed or whether somebody cleaned it wrongly, and being right often enough that they keep asking. It is also the reason we see new fiber systems and new equipment before they reach the market.
How we clean, and what we clean with
We clean to Green Seal procedures using Carpet & Rug Institute Seal of Approval products — a documented standard with a published test method, rather than an adjective. The same chemistry is safe around children and pets.
Low-moisture encapsulation returns carpet to light foot traffic in 2 to 4 hours; hot-water extraction goes deeper and takes longer. Which one your building gets depends on how long it can be out of service, and we will say so before you book.
Where we work
Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties, from an office at 5030 NW 109th Ave, Sunrise, Florida. Commercial work is the majority of what we do — hotels, cruise vessels, convention centers, casinos, stadiums, theaters, high-rise condominiums and corporate property — alongside a high-end residential line.
Thirty-six years on South Florida floors
Jeff Day has cleaned South Florida floors since 1990 and has owned Power Carpet Cleaning since 1995.
He started as a crew chief and trainer at Stanley Steemer in Fort Lauderdale, where he ran the implant cleaning department for natural fibers — wool, cotton, silk and Oriental rugs. He moved on to National Carpet Care and then to Anton Hermes Carpet Cleaning as a manager and trainer, writing the cleaning guidelines both firms worked to, before opening this company.
That order matters. The wool and silk work this company is known for is not a line added to a services page; it is what he was trained on first, thirty-six years ago.
